1. Does your child have a diagnosis?
If your answer is yes, please move on to step 2.
If you do not yet have a diagnosis, please set up an appointment with a diagnosing provider. Here are a few in our immediate area: Kennedy Krieger & Children’s National. While you are waiting, you can set up a tour at PLAN as well. At this time, insurance will only cover ABA therapy for individuals with an Autism Spectrum diagnosis.
2. Contact Us
We will do two things once we have decided you would like to learn more. We will complete an insurance verification so you understand your ABA benefits and we will invite you to schedule a tour.
3. Schedule a tour of our Center
At our PLAN Center Tour, we will explain our schedule and daily activities, you will meet PLAN staff and we will be able to answer specific questions you have about ABA and the PLAN Approach. Our warm and inviting center will lead to conversations about our whole child, social, and arts-integrated approach.
4. Intake
The intake and assessment process involves collaboration between PLAN, your family and any other service providers in your child’s life to develop a treatment plan and secure an authorization of services for ABA.
5. Ongoing ABA Therapy
Based on your child’s treatment plan and assessments, a program will be implemented to address your child’s individual strengths and needs. Your BCBA and your family will meet regularly to discuss updates, progress, and engage in training. PLAN uses a hands-on collaborative approach that focuses on generalization of skills from the center environment to home and community environments.
